Understanding timesheets

How the VanMan Timesheets page works — the weekly grid, what each entry shows, and how to filter by staff and status.

The Timesheets page in the main sidebar gives you a clear weekly view of the hours your crew have worked. It lays out a grid for each staff member so you can see, review, and adjust everyone's time in one place before it flows through to pay.

The weekly grid

Each staff member has their own grid covering one week at a time. Use the week navigation to move backwards and forwards, so you can look at the current week, catch up on a previous one, or get ahead on the week to come.

What each entry shows

Every timesheet entry captures the detail you need to check a shift at a glance:

  • Start and finish times for the shift
  • Break taken during the shift
  • Hours worked
  • Calculated pay based on the hours and the staff member's rate

Entries are read-only until you edit them, and you can add or edit entries directly in the grid whenever something needs correcting.

Job context

Each entry is labelled with the job it relates to, so you always know what the hours were spent on. You'll see the linked job's customer name along with the pickup-to-drop-off route — the from and to suburbs — which makes it easy to match a timesheet to the right move.

Filtering the view

When you're managing a full team, the filters keep the page focused:

  • Filter by staff to concentrate on one person's week
  • Filter by status to show only draft or approved entries

Use the status filter to find every draft entry that still needs your attention before payroll, so nothing gets missed at the end of the week.
