Assigning crew to a job
Build a job's crew in VanMan — assign staff, mark a leader, and allocate crew to trucks on multi-truck jobs.
Every job needs the right people on it. You build the crew from the job's Details tab, in the Crew section, where you assign staff, pick a leader, and — on bigger jobs — decide who rides in which truck.
Build the crew
On the job, go to the Details tab and find the Crew section.
Add the staff members who'll work the job. Only your active crew are available to assign, and each one you add becomes part of that job's team.
Choose one crew member as the Leader so it's clear who's running the move on the day.
For a multi-truck job, assign each crew member to a specific truck so everyone knows where they're meant to be.
What happens next
Once the crew is set, the assigned staff appear on the mobile app, so your drivers can see and track exactly who worked the job. The hours those crew members log flow through to their timesheets, where pay is calculated using each person's hourly rate.
Crew you assign here show up on the mobile app and feed timesheets — so getting the assignment right keeps both the crew's day and their pay accurate.
