Cancelling your subscription
How cancellation works — through the Stripe billing portal, not inside VanMan.
There is no cancel button inside VanMan. Cancellation is handled in Stripe's billing portal, which you reach from Settings > Billing. VanMan has no cancellation screen of its own — so any instruction telling you to click "Cancel plan" or "Confirm cancellation" inside VanMan is describing something that is not there.
Cancellation is Admin-only, because the Billing page is Admin-only.
If your account shows "No Billing Setup"
Then there is nothing to cancel. That message means your account was created before billing was switched on — you have no active Stripe subscription, and no charges are being made. There is no button because there is nothing to end.
If your account has billing set up
Go to Settings > Billing as an Admin.
Click Manage Billing. This takes you out of VanMan to Stripe's hosted billing portal — the only place a subscription can be cancelled.
Use Stripe's own cancellation controls in the portal. Because this is Stripe's interface and not VanMan's, this help centre cannot show you those exact screens — follow the portal's prompts.
What happens after cancellation — whether access continues to the end of a paid period, and how reactivation works — is governed by Stripe and your plan's terms, not by anything in VanMan. If you need certainty about the effect of cancelling, that is a question for your account terms, not for the app.
Removing people is not the same as cancelling
If your aim is to stop paying for someone who has left, note that user access and billing are separate systems. Removing a person is done at Settings > Users — see inviting team members — and does not touch your subscription.
Tutorial: end billing for a closing business
You are winding the business down and want to stop charges.
Only Admins see Settings > Billing. If it is not in your settings nav, you cannot do this — hand it to whoever holds the Admin role.
Open Billing. If it reads No Billing Setup, you have no subscription to cancel and no charges to stop — you are already done, and closing the account is just a matter of no longer using it.
Click it to enter Stripe's portal. That is where the live subscription lives and where cancellation actually happens — not on any VanMan screen.
Follow Stripe's cancellation flow. Read its confirmation carefully — it, not VanMan, tells you when the cancellation takes effect and whether you keep access until the period ends.
Removing everyone from Settings > Users does not cancel the subscription. The two are unrelated — you must cancel in Stripe to stop charges.
