Assigning a default team leader
Each truck in VanMan can have a default team leader. When the truck is assigned to a job, the team leader is automatically included as part of the crew. This saves time during scheduling and ensures your lead driver is always paired with the right vehicle.
Open truck settings
Navigate to SettingsTrucks and click the truck you want to update.
Select a team leader
Click the Team leader dropdown and choose a team member from the list. The dropdown shows all active team members along with their role.
Save
Click Save to set the default. From now on, whenever this truck is assigned to a job, the selected team leader is automatically added to the crew.
The default team leader is a convenience setting. You can override it on any individual job by changing the crew assignment manually. Removing or changing the default does not affect jobs that have already been scheduled.
If a team leader is on leave, you can temporarily change the default to another crew member. Swap it back when they return so future jobs are assigned correctly.
