Running an appraisal from photos
Upload interior photos and let VanMan's AI detect rooms and items you can review and edit.
Uploading interior photos and videos lets VanMan's AI detect the rooms and items in a move, giving you a detailed inventory to work from without listing everything by hand.
Open the job and go to the Appraisal tab. If Automatic Basic Appraisal is enabled, opening the tab starts the assessment for you.
Add the interior photos and videos the customer or your team captured. VanMan sends them to the AI (powered by Google Gemini and Vertex) for analysis.
The AI detects the rooms and individual items in your media. Each detected item comes with an editable condition dropdown and a quantity, and you get a per-photo breakdown of what was found.
Work through the results and adjust anything that isn't right. Change condition dropdowns, correct quantities, and add or remove items so the inventory matches the real move.
Use the per-photo controls to Re-analyse an image if you want the AI to take another look, or Clear it to remove its detected items and start that photo again.
To inspect your media closely, open the photo carousel modal and step through images using keyboard navigation.
Well-lit, wide shots of each room give the AI the best chance of detecting items accurately. Re-analyse any photo where the detected list looks incomplete.
