Converting a booking to a job

Once a customer has confirmed their booking, you can convert the enquiry into a scheduled job with a single click. All customer details and move information are carried over automatically so you do not need to re-enter anything.

Confirm the enquiry

Open the booking from Bookings and set the status to Confirmed if you have not already done so.

Convert to a job

Click the Convert to job button. VanMan creates a new job and copies across the customer name, phone number, email, pickup address, delivery address, preferred date, and any notes from the booking form.

Assign a truck and finalise

The new job opens in the job editor. Select a truck from the dropdown, confirm the date and start time, and set the estimated duration. Click Save job to add it to the calendar.

Converting a booking does not delete the original enquiry. The booking record is linked to the new job so you can always trace back to the original request.

If the customer provided a preferred date on the form, check the calendar for truck availability on that date before converting. This way you can assign the truck during conversion without needing to edit the job afterwards.
