Deactivating a truck
When a truck is sold, off the road, or no longer part of your fleet, you can deactivate it in VanMan. Deactivating a truck removes it from the calendar and the truck assignment dropdown while preserving all historical job records.
Open truck settings
Navigate to SettingsTrucks and find the truck you want to deactivate.
Deactivate the truck
Click the truck to open its details, then click Deactivate. Confirm the action when prompted.
Verify the change
The truck is removed from the calendar and no longer appears in the truck dropdown when creating new jobs. Existing completed jobs that were assigned to this truck retain their records and remain searchable.
Before deactivating a truck, check that it has no upcoming jobs assigned. Any future jobs still assigned to the truck should be reassigned to a different vehicle first.
Deactivating a truck is not permanent. If the vehicle returns to service, you can reactivate it from SettingsTrucks and it will reappear on the calendar and in the assignment dropdown.
