Setting up the mobile app
Setting up the mobile app
The VanMan mobile app gives your drivers and operators access to jobs, navigation, photo capture, and customer signatures from their phone or tablet. It works on both iOS and Android and stays in sync with the web dashboard in real time.
How to get started
Download the app
Search for VanMan in the Apple App Store (iOS 16 or later) or Google Play Store (Android 10 or later) and install it. The app is free to download -- your existing VanMan subscription covers mobile access for all team members.
Log in with your VanMan credentials
Open the app and sign in using the email and password associated with your VanMan account. If you were invited by an Admin and haven't set a password yet, tap Set up my account and follow the link in your invitation email first. Two-factor authentication is supported and will be prompted if enabled on your account.
Explore your role-based view
What you see in the app depends on your role. Drivers land on a streamlined daily job list showing pickup and delivery addresses, scheduled times, and customer contact details. Operators see the full calendar and can create or edit bookings on the go. Admins get the operator view plus access to team and settings screens. Everyone can capture job photos and collect customer signatures.
Enable notifications and location services
When prompted, allow push notifications so you receive real-time alerts for new job assignments, schedule changes, and customer messages. Granting location access lets VanMan provide turn-by-turn navigation integration and automatic arrival detection for time tracking.
The VanMan app caches your upcoming jobs locally, so drivers can view job details, addresses, and customer notes even when they lose mobile signal. Any photos or signatures captured offline are automatically uploaded once the device reconnects.
If you run into login issues, make sure your team member has accepted their invitation and that your VanMan subscription is active. Head to SettingsTeam on the web to check invitation status.
