Editing a job
How to update customer details, addresses, scheduling, and truck assignments on an existing job.
You can edit any job in VanMan at any time before it is completed. Changes are saved immediately and visible to all operators and drivers in real time.
Find the job on the calendar or in the jobs list and click it to open the job detail panel. Click Edit to switch to editing mode.
You can modify any field on the job including:
- Customer details — name, phone number, email address
- Addresses — pickup, delivery, and any additional stops
- Scheduling — date, start time, and estimated duration
- Truck assignment — switch to a different truck
- Notes — add or update special instructions
Click Save job to confirm the updates. The calendar and job list update immediately to reflect the new details.
If you change the truck or date on a job, check the calendar first to make sure the new truck is available at the new time. VanMan will warn you if the change creates a scheduling conflict.
All changes to a job are recorded in the activity log with a timestamp and the name of the user who made the change. You can view this log at the bottom of the job detail panel.
