Managing all-day events
Managing all-day events
All-day events are displayed as a collapsible banner above the calendar time grid. They are useful for events that span an entire day — public holidays, company-wide training, or truck servicing.
Creating an all-day event
When creating a new event, toggle the All day switch. This removes the start and end time fields and marks the event as spanning the full day.
All-day events appear as colour-coded bars in a banner section above the time grid. They do not take up space in the hourly calendar view.
Collapsible banner
If you have multiple all-day events on the same day, the banner section can be collapsed to save screen space. Click the collapse arrow above the time grid to hide or show all-day events.
All-day events assigned to a truck will block that truck for the entire day. The truck will not appear as available for job scheduling on that date.
Common uses for all-day events
- Public holidays — mark days when your business is closed
- Vehicle servicing — block a truck for the day while it is at the mechanic
- Training days — mark company-wide training where no jobs are scheduled
- Leave — mark when a team leader is unavailable
Use distinct colours for different event types. For example, red for holidays, orange for servicing, and blue for training. This makes it easy to scan the calendar and understand what is happening at a glance.
