Processing payments on mobile

Accept cash, POS, and credit card payments from customers using the VanMan mobile app.

Operators can accept payments from customers on-site using the VanMan mobile app. This eliminates the need to chase payments after the job and keeps your cash flow moving.

Open the job

From the mobile app, navigate to the completed job and tap Process payment.

Choose a payment method

Select how the customer is paying:

  • Cash — Record a cash payment received on-site.
  • POS — Record a payment taken through your external POS terminal.
  • Credit card — Process a credit card payment directly through the app.
Enter the amount and confirm

Enter the payment amount and tap Confirm payment. The payment is recorded against the job and the payment status is updated in real time across mobile and web.

Tally notes

A dedicated Tally notes field is saved with the job's tally, separate from payment notes. Use it for notes about the priced items or the tally itself.

Payment notes

The Payment notes field is saved against the payment when you Record payment — whether that's Cash, POS/card, Credit, or a Partial payment — so the note stays attached to that specific payment. For a partial payment you enter the amount taken; the remaining balance is handled in the office.

Process the payment immediately after completing the move while you are still with the customer. This ensures payment is collected promptly and avoids follow-up calls.

All payments recorded on mobile are visible in the job detail panel on the web dashboard. If the job has an associated invoice, the payment status is updated there as well.
