Starting and ending your day

Use the Today tab to see your day at a glance, start your shift, and clock off in the VanMan mobile app.

The VanMan mobile app opens on the Today tab, your home base for the day. At the top you'll see the date, a greeting, and a quick day summary — something like "3 jobs · est. 6 hrs on the tools · truck Big Blue". Below that sits a route map of your stops for the day and an Up next card showing the next job that isn't finished yet for your selected truck.

Starting your shift

Check your truck

Make sure the truck shown in the day summary is the one you're driving. Your shift and location sharing are tied to this selected truck.

Tap Start Day

Tap the Start Day button to begin your shift. The card changes to show "On shift · Started " with an End day button.

Location sharing only runs while you're on shift. It starts when you tap Start Day and stops when you end the day, so the office can see where the truck is during working hours and nothing more.

During the day

Use the Today tab to keep an eye on what's coming. The Up next card always points you at your next unfinished job, and there's a Report incident or damage quick action if something goes wrong. A "Logged today" list keeps a running record of what you've captured.

Ending your day

When your last job is done, tap End day. This opens the End of Day screen where you review crew hours and send timesheets to the office before your shift finishes.

Tap Start Day as soon as you begin work, not when you reach your first job. Your shift time and location sharing both key off this button.
